Welcome!

We are an academic research group with strong industrial links. We develop, apply and translate synthetic biology technologies to harness the potential of microbial metabolism and achieve impactful living technologies.

News
Our GlycoCell UKRI Engineering Biology Mission Hub has been funded! See the UKRI press release and the University of Nottingham press release.

The group
We are a team of research scientists based at The University of Nottingham, led by Dr John Heap.

A video introduction
